As it has been said “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail”.
Most business owners and managers recognise the need to plan ahead. The vast majority of them do nothing about it. Most business owners and managers understand the advantages and benefits that flow from a proper plan being done, implemented and monitored. The vast majority of them stop at stage one (or two).
We assist our clients with their planning. Our approach is a pro-active one whereby we develop an understanding of our client and their needs and wants and also of their business (including staff, clients, products etc). This then assists us in working with our client to develop the business by building on strengths, taking advantage of opportunities, dealing with weaknesses and being aware and cognisant of threats.
We do not see any benefit in undertaking a planning exercise for a client if the only thing that is achieved is for the client to be able to say “yes” when asked if they have a business plan. It must be done, then implemented, then monitored.
It is a dynamic process that can deliver fantastic benefits to a business. A plan is the first stage of a business’ development.
